Following ITV’s Britain’s Favourite Walks: Top 100, presented by well-known rambler Julia Bradbury and Ore Oduba, the Lake District proved to be the nation’s favourite walking location taking half the coveted top 10 spots with challenging walks over Helvellyn at number one and Scafell Pike at number five, to more gentle rambles over Cat Bells and around Buttermere at four and seven respectively.

Ramblers Walking Holidays tour leader Ray Philpotts and over 80 keen walkers congregated at a Shropshire railway station on 4th July to walk the first completed section of the Heart of Wales Line Trail, a major new long-distance route which will run 140-miles between rural railway stations on the scenic Heart of Wales Line linking Shrewsbury to South Wales when it is completed.
